Managing Stress During COVID-19
November 17, 2020
By now, most all of us have felt moments or even hours of stress resulting from the impact of COVID-19. Here are four simple tips to help reduce that stress:
- Limit media consumption and be sure to seek out reliable information sources when you look for news.
- Get some fresh air. It’s not only refreshing but, as we’ve learned, being outdoors is one of the safer places to be during COVID-19.
- Get your mind on something else. Do something productive, like deep-cleaning your apartment, making something – from a new recipe to a fun DIY project. Or exercise, whether that’s a brisk walk, a bike ride or a little stretching or yoga.
- Get a good night of sleep. When we’re more rested, we are generally less stressed! Try for 8 hours every night. And maintain a good sleep schedule by going to bed and getting up at about the same times each day.
