Make Some Space
March 29, 2016
One of the biggest parts of spring cleaning is getting rid of clutter that you don’t need. Take advantage of the natural urge that comes each spring to get rid of items that are weighing you down and begin fresh with a more streamlined lifestyle. While we may have a tendency to hoard and hold on to items in the winter, we generally are more ready to let go of clutter when spring arrives.
Is your closet overflowing with clothes you don’t wear anymore? Consider donating your gently worn clothing that you don’t use or need anymore to Goodwill or other local donation center. Not sure what should go? Try to stick with the “One Year Rule”–if you haven’t worn something in a year, get rid of it. In a year, you’ve gone through each season, so if it hasn’t been worn, it probably never will be. And, hey, you could fill that space with something that you really will use!
