Save on back-to-school clothes shopping with a holiday from sales tax!  Start your shopping in Mississippi from just after midnight on Friday, July 31  (12:01 a.m. to be exact) until midnight on Saturday, August 1, you won’t have to pay sales tax on certain clothing and footwear items.  For specific details on eligible items, click here. And if you miss out on Mississippi’s holiday, you’ll get a second chance the following weekend when Tennessee has its sales tax holiday, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 7 and ending on Sunday, August 9 at 11:59 p.m. Get all the details here.
