Happy Mother’s Day!
May 11, 2014
Mother’s Day started after Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in West Virginia in 1908. She then began a campaign to make it a recognized holiday in the United States, and in 1914, Mother’s Day became the second Sunday in May. Moms are some of the most important people in our lives. Perhaps even the most important. Although you should show love to your mom every single day, Mother’s Day is designated as mom’s special day. Whether you write her a card, take her out to brunch, or give her a basket of her favorite things, find a way to make her feel special for the day. And if you are a mom too, Happy Mother’s Day!
