3 Tips for a Greener Apartment Experience
September 17, 2012
Do you remember the last time you recycled? Are you the kind of person who leaves the water running when you brush your teeth? How often do you turn off lights and appliances in your apartment when they aren’t in use?
In order to save some money (and a lot of energy) there are many ways in which you can modify your lifestyle in small ways. Live a little greener each day with these simple tips.
- Unplug your appliances not in use. DVD players, toasters, and coffee makers still use energy when they’re plugged in and not in use.
- Use your dishwasher on a light setting and don’t pre-rinse your dishes. This will save a ton of unneeded water.
- Over 3.3 million plastic bottles were thrown away last year in the United States and only 20% were recycled. Either recycle your plastic water bottles or invest in a nice one you can reuse.
Live a greener life in your Memphis apartment!
