July 17, 2012
Looking for romantic things to do in Memphis? Or are you just looking for some singles to mingle with? Rooftop bars have been springing up around the city, giving you a chance to stargaze as you sip your martini or have a side conversation with someone special. Our community has been collecting a list of the best rooftop bars in Memphis.
The Peabody at Memphis Hotel has their own rooftop bar high above the Mississippi River. Enjoy the great view down as well as the star speckled sky above with a $10 cover that includes one drink. If you plan on visiting regularly, think about getting a VIP pass. For $100, you get into all 18 parties, valet parking, invitations to food and beverage tastings in the VIP lounge, and various discounts.
The Madison Hotel also offers a rooftop bar. It’s a little bit of a secret, but every Thursday night they let people up and bring in a live band. You get a fantastic view of the city as well as the river. This place is great whether you’re going alone, with someone, or in a group, with experienced bartenders and social activity.
