Memphis Zoo Camel Excursion Open for Summer
June 8, 2012
Some favorite tourist spots in Memphis may get a bit old after you take visiting family there for the 8th time that year – but the Memphis Zoo has never been one of them.
In addition to housing one of America’s few Giant Pandas, adorable monkeys and a reptile house worth a day-long visit in its own right, the zoo is also still operating Camel Excursion and the Giraffe Feeding Adventure until the end of October 2012. These two interactive exhibits cost $5 each, and let you get face-to-face with two of the world’s most interesting quadrupeds in what is sure to be one of your family’s most unique zoo visits of the year.
The Giraffe Feeding Adventure is located on the deck behind the giraffe exhibit. Feeding times are available Wednesday through Sunday, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. Camel rides will be located near the east side of the zoo, and will be available 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
